Private and submitted records
A private addition is available to your account immediately and is not shown in the shared public library. If you choose to submit it, it is still available to you immediately while the library team reviews it.
A submitted crop or variety does not become an active public catalog record until it is approved or linked to a reviewed canonical record. A variety submitted for public review remains private to your garden while pending. When available, Edaphia saves your current USDA zone as submission context; it does not claim that the variety is proven for that zone.
Continue to Add a Plant
After saving, continue to Add a Plant with the crop or variety preselected. Choose the garden, growing location, exact quantity, planting date, method, and any optional Supply List selections before you save the real planting.
What is not added automatically
- A user-added crop does not automatically receive reviewed yield, spacing, seasonal, adaptation, or procurement guidance.
- It appears in Food Planner only after an active, source-backed planning rule exists for the public crop record.
- Adding or submitting it does not create a planting, task, or Supply List item.
- Public review may link a submission to an existing canonical crop or variety instead of creating a duplicate.
