Variety adaptation
Adaptation notes describe evidence or reviewed expectations for a variety in a climate or region. They should be read with their scope and source, not as a universal promise.
Resistance codes
Seed and plant catalogs use abbreviations for resistance or tolerance to particular diseases and pests. A resistance claim usually reduces risk or severity; it rarely means immunity. Use the definition shown with the code and continue normal prevention and observation.
Maturity estimates
Days to maturity can be counted from sowing or transplanting depending on the crop and source. Compare varieties using the same basis whenever possible.
Heat, cold, and humidity traits
Heat tolerance describes a variety’s relative ability to keep growing or producing under warm conditions. Cold tolerance describes relative performance under cool conditions and does not imply immunity to freeze damage.
Humidity adaptation can affect disease pressure and performance, but airflow, rainfall, irrigation, plant spacing, and local disease presence still matter.
