Layers of guidance
- General guidance describes the crop across locations.
- Regional guidance applies that biology to a reviewed geographic scope.
- Zone suitability summarizes expected fit for a USDA zone when evidence is available.
- Variety recommendations can narrow guidance further to named cultivars.
- Sources let you inspect where a recommendation came from.
Unknown is not Not Suitable
When evidence is missing or not strong enough, Edaphia should say Unknown. Unknown means no stronger rating is currently supported; it does not mean the crop cannot grow there.
