Understand Edaphia’s Recommendations

Edaphia can present general crop knowledge and narrower location-aware guidance at the same time. The narrower guidance adds context; it does not rewrite the crop’s biology.

Layers of guidance

  • General guidance describes the crop across locations.
  • Regional guidance applies that biology to a reviewed geographic scope.
  • Zone suitability summarizes expected fit for a USDA zone when evidence is available.
  • Variety recommendations can narrow guidance further to named cultivars.
  • Sources let you inspect where a recommendation came from.

Unknown is not Not Suitable

When evidence is missing or not strong enough, Edaphia should say Unknown. Unknown means no stronger rating is currently supported; it does not mean the crop cannot grow there.
